Prices vary depending on the business or individual's requirements. However, some sample prices are included below as a guideline.
- A single page web presence: £40
- Small 'static' web site (up to 5 pages) with a contact form but no database or additional programming requirements: £170
- Medium - large 'static' web site (more than 5 pages) with a contact form but with no database or additional programming requirements: £170 for the first 5 pages + £5 per page after this

Advanced database / PHP development services are available but the scale and complexity of these projects determine the price so for a quote please contact us with the details of your project. Examples of larger projects that require database and PHP development skills include advanced content management systems, shopping cart facilities and bulletin boards or forums.
All web development services include site design, setting up email addresses, building and testing the site and its submission to the main search engines.
We recommend contacting us with a summary of your needs and we will respond with a no obligation quote. If you decide to follow up your interest in using Web Embrace then we can discuss your needs further and provide a detailed project plan and fixed price.
All our quotes are per project, rather than per hour, so that the client can be confident of the final price.
For an IT service, such as PC repairs or maintenance, then it will generally be necessary for us to visit your business or home. For a design service, this depends to a certain extent on your preference.
Some clients prefer face-to-face meetings and progress reports, whilst others are comfortable communicating by email and telephone.
We prefer face-to-face meetings so we can understand your business needs better. Often regular meetings are required for a larger web project but a small site can be produced without a meeting if the requirements are clearly defined and agreed by both parties.
3. How long does it take to produce a web site?
This really depends on the complexity of the project but if the client has a deadline in mind then we would try to meet that target when planning the work.
4. Are your services limited to small businesses?
No. We can provide services to home users, as well as charitable organisations or larger businesses. Many home users would only be interested in our PC repair and maintenance services but some users may have a requirement to set-up a web site for a club or charity they are involved with. In this case, our prices would reflect their less complex needs.
The reason we purposely target small businesses is that we are a small business ourselves and so we don't have the resources to compete with the big design agencies for large contracts - but we would of course be delighted to provided our services to larger businesses. We are willing to help, no matter what the size of your requirement.
5. What is the process for designing a web site?
Normally, the client would approach us with a requirement, which we would define further and document so that both parties agree what will be produced and a timescale for this. Often we will ask the client to complete a design brief survey, which helps the client focus on what business needs they are trying to meet with a new web site.
Sometimes a client has very definite ideas about what they would like, other times the client is looking for help and inspiration. Either way, we offer our expertise to support the client and their needs. This is an important and often over looked stage because it defines what will be produced. Before starting any design, a project brief is written that outlines the goals of the project and what is required from both parties.
We would then produce several draft designs for the client to choose from or suggest changes to. Once the goals and designs have been approved then we start building the site.
The client often produces the written content themselves in the form of a Word document, which is passed to us as the site is being built.
Writing content for a web site is a skill that is more difficult than it first appears because you have to cater for a wide, global audience who demand professional content. Because of this, we can produce the written content for the client or edit what they provide so it is more suitable for the web site.
Once the site has been built and the content added, it needs to be thoroughly tested using a variety of web browsers before being presented to the client. Once the completed site has been approved by the client, it can be made available to the public and promoted.
6. Do I need to buy the domain name?
We can handle buying a domain name and setting up email accounts for the client. If the client already has a web site then we can use the existing domain name and re-evaluate whether the current web hosting package is the most suitable one for their needs.
7. What about after sales support?
If you have a problem with any of our work then contact us and we will strive to resolve your issue. It is in our interest to provide professional support so we retain our clients.
8. What about providing support for the web site you produced once it has gone live?
Normally we would agree with the client that for a set period we would provide free support that includes updating the content on the site, submitting the site to the major search engines and resolving any errors. Any larger changes, such as adding a new area to the site, or support after this period would be charged per hour at a pre-agreed cost so that you know how much any changes would cost.
If the changes and support required are minor and infrequent then we often do not charge the client but this depends on each request.
Once the site is completed, you are of course entitled to ask another designer or company to make the changes on your behalf and we can provide you with the technical details they would need to do this.
9. What is included in the PC maintenance service?
Most users will have a specific problem that needs resolving, such as software not working or the PC taking a long time to start up. We will aim to resolve this issue for you, in addition to running a number of maintenance tasks. We will scan your PC for viruses and spyware and ensure that your PC is protected against these threats. If you do not have adequate protection then we will recommend alternatives and set these up for you. We will remove unwanted files, defragment the hard disk and backup any data you wish to have saved to CD-ROM or DVD.
